Hi my name is Emily Edgar, i am a 22 year old single mum of a little two year old boy called Liam.
I am currently in my last year of my Bachelor of Education at Latrobe University in Bendigo.
As a child i grew up on a farm, where we had cattle and grew crops. Due to our farm location
i attended a small rural school called Bunnaloo, we had only three teachers when i started
and only about 30 children. I grew up with my primary school teachers being my neighbours
and close friends with my parents, so if we did not do our homework or got in trouble mum and
dad always found out. Going to school was exciting for me with my parents always working
and only having one brother, life at home was quite some times. I had a great primary school
experience with my teachers being very dedicated and passionate. We always did fun and
exciting things, lots of active activities, we also did work sheets but not all the time.
I can remember many interesting and fun things about learning at school, i believe that the connection
i had with my teachers really helped my learning. Having trust and feeling wanted and secure was very
important in my learning through out primary school.
